Who we are
Founded by Edwin Oshian, OMF was formed from a deep personal belief that music is a powerful gift that brings people together and shapes lives. We exist to build community through music, equip people with lasting skills, and inspire lives through creativity and connection.
Music has always been a way to build friendships, feel supported, and navigate life. That same sense of connection is at the heart of everything we do.
What we do
We provide accessible music lessons and collaborative workshops that bring people together in a welcoming and supportive environment. Through individual learning and shared musical experiences, we help people grow in confidence, creativity, and skill.
Our aim is simple. To create spaces where people feel connected, equipped and inspired through music.
Meet the Founder
Edwin Oshian is an Armenian born in London, UK, with a deep passion for music, education, and community. Alongside his musical journey, Edwin holds an undergraduate degree in LLB Law and an MA from King’s College London in Religion, Theology, and the Bible.
A classically trained pianist, Edwin began playing music at a very young age and has completed all ABRSM piano qualifications. In addition to piano, he also plays drums and guitar, bringing a broad and practical understanding of music to his teaching.
With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, Edwin has performed in a wide range of settings. For more than six years, he played piano on live, broadcast television. He has also performed at prestigious venues including St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Central Hall.
Edwin has a genuine love for teaching and believes music is at its best when it brings people together. The idea for this foundation grew out of a piano and music workshop run at a few local churches, where the positive impact on young people, families, and the wider community was clear to see.
Inspired by this experience, Edwin founded OMF to create welcoming spaces where people can learn music, grow in confidence, and connect with others. This work reflects both his personal journey and his passion for using music as a tool for community, growth, and joy.
